How do I access my worksheets waiting to be filled out?
Can't find the worksheet you need to fill out? Do not worry! Here we have summarized all the important information from the beginning of the filling out process to the review phase of the results.
Your teacher can share a worksheet in several ways with you, for example, via a link or a Jumper Code, but they can also personally assign you to a worksheet as a filler.
- By default you can access the worksheets shared with you in the Desktop menu, but you can also access these through your group, within the group itself.
- If you have received a worksheet’s Jumper Code, type the received code in the Jumper menu, and Redmenta will immediately navigate to that worksheet (or to the group of which you are a member of). Learn more about Jumper Codes!
- If you received a link, copy it into your browser's search bar and hit enter to start filling it out!
How can I start filling out my worksheet?
When starting to fill out a worksheet, always check the displayed filling parameters! If you see a red ‘x’, you cannot fill out the worksheet, because it means there is a restriction in the settings of the worksheet made by your teacher.
In the row corresponding to ‘x’, you can also see why the worksheet cannot be filled (for example you have reached the completion limit, the deadline for completion has expired, or you did not enter your name yet). In all cases, these parameters were given by your teacher, so if you notice a problem that you cannot solve on your own, always contact them!
Please note that if you fill out the worksheet without registration, you must enter your name, so that your teacher will be able to identify you later on. It is important to add your real first name and surname here, otherwise you will make identification very difficult for your teacher. If you use a pseudonym it is possible that your teacher will not be able to give you an assessment, or that your fill out will not be accepted.
If you have entered your name, accept our terms and conditions as well as the privacy policy, then click the Save button. This is the only way to fill out a worksheet without registration.
Entering your name before filling out is not required for registered and logged in users, as identification is done automatically based on the registered name.
If you see a green tick next to each filling parameter, you can start solving the worksheet! It is important to know, if there are numbers next to the Start button, they indicate the time limit for filling out (expressed in minutes). In other words, you will have that much time to solve the tasks.
How does solving the different task types work?
Each task type has its own solving process. Here we present to you how to solve those types of tasks that can be the most challenging.
1. MatchingIn the Matching task, you can find the elements that need to be matched in two columns. To form pairs, click on an element in the left column, then click on its matching pair in the right column. If you have mistakenly paired two elements, click on the blue clips connecting the left and right elements.
2. Order
In the Order task, click an item and drag it to its appropriate place. After grabbing do not let the item go until it is dragged in its set. Once it is placed, do the same for the other elements until the correct sequence is created (our answer will always be automatically saved).
3. FlowchartIn the Flowchart, arrange the shapes as you wish! To do so, click on any shape, and place it somewhere on the board that makes it easier to see all elements. This step is not always necessary (and no points are awarded for it) but in many cases it makes it easier to create connections. To make a connection between two elements, click on the bottom of the first shape and then the top of the other shape (or vice versa, first top and then bottom). With this step, you create connection between two shapes which will become visible by a black line. If you made a mistake and want to delete a connection, click on the line you want to delete and then on the trash icon that appears.
4. Creative board
To solve the Creative board, click the Let’s create button, then choose from the functions that appear: draw, upload images, write text. You can upload images from your own device, but you can also choose from an online database included in Redmenta, called Unsplash and use any picture from there for free. To resize an element, click on it and modify its size as you wish. If you want to delete something, click on the image (or text) and delete the element with the ‘x’ that appears in the right upper corner. If you make a mistake while drawing, erase it with the rubber tool.
5. SetsWhen sorting into sets, the cards in the middle must be sorted into the appropriate category. To start sorting the cards, click on the first card and drag it to the right category (don't let go of the card until it touches the set). If you want to undo a step, do it with the Undo previous step button, or start solving the task from the beginning. If you want to know how many cards you have in line to categorize, check it in the upper right corner of a card.
Where can I find the result and automated correction?
After filling out your worksheet, in many cases your automatically obtained score and the auto-correction of your submission will appear immediately. However, this setting can be changed by the creator of the worksheet, so in some cases only the score will be immediately displayed. It may also happen that neither the result nor the auto-correction appears after submission. In such cases, you must wait for your teacher's approval.
If you have received the instructor's approval, the completed worksheet will appear in the Desktop menu with your results. If you are also interested in your corrected solutions, click on the Results menu of the given worksheet.
