Online and digital education has developed enormously in recent years, with many benefits for both...
How to increase your free storage space
Summary:
- Every Redmenta Plus subscriber gets 20 MB storage space automatically.
- If you maxed out your current storage space you have 2 options to operate further for free, and 2 other options to upgrade to the Redmenta Plus package. This is what this post is about.
Option 1: Freeing up storage space
There are 3 types of activities that take up storage space: the tasks you created, the attachments of your tasks (e.g. pictures, voice files) and the filled out forms of your students. If a task is part of several of your worksheets they only take storage space once. If you use a task that someone else created that also does not take up your storage. Neither does worksheets. The same goes for groups and folders: they do not take up your storage space either.
Deleting tasks
There are several options for deleting tasks. In the worksheet editing menu, if you delete a task from all your worksheets, it will be permanently deleted from your storage. Another option is to select the task from the list of tasks in the Repository menu item. After clicking on it, a preview of the task appears, and the task can be deleted with the trash can icon at the bottom of the preview. If the task is included in several of your worksheets, you can delete it from all worksheets here with one single click.
Deleting the past works of your students
Students' work can only be deleted from the Repository menu. Here you have to scroll down to the fills section at the bottom of the page. Select the worksheet which you want to delete. For this option you can also use the search field. After opening the worksheet, the students' works are displayed by the time of the filling out. Here you can select and delete the fills one by one, or by selecting all of them at once, all the fillings that appear in the list can be deleted at once.
Option 2: Extend your free storage space
We gamified the storage upgrading process. Gamification is usually used to involve students in education, but here it is different. In this way, we can simultaneously provide better opportunities for those teachers who like to play with this, and also make it easier for teachers to get to know Redmenta better.
The 20 MB storage space can be continuously increased, and the options for increasing it will constantly expand in the future. The list of options for increasing storage space can be divided into two groups: one is the unique storage increase options, such as the Piggy button. The other group is the storage increase you can receive for completing the to-do list.
Unique solution:
Piggy button (5 MB each time, 80 MB total)
The piggy button on the Repository page adds 5 MB to your storage every time you press it. This button can be pressed every 3 days once, 16 times in total. Thus, a total of 80 MB of storage space can be obtained with this solution.
Storage increase for completing a to-do list:
Registration (5MB)
You get an extra 5MB for registering in Redmenta. This is something that you don't have to do anything else, you just have to collect it in the activity log section that appears on the Desktop page. You can do this by pressing the collect button.
Create your own worksheet (15 MB)
Create your first worksheet, enter its name and add the most important basic data, add your own tasks, or search and add existing tasks from the Catalogue. If you then return to the Desktop page, you can already collect the 15 MB for creating your very first worksheet.
Approval of worksheet fills of 3 of your students (30 MB)
Share a worksheet you created or copied from the Catalogue with at least three of your students. After the students have completed the worksheet, evaluate their work and approve the results. If you then return to the Desktop menu, you can already collect the 30 MB for approvals.
Completing your profile (20MB)
In the top row of the screen on the right side of your monogram, or if you have uploaded a picture of yourself, after clicking on your profile picture the menu Approval of completion of 3 students (30 MB)
Share a worksheet you created or copied from the catalog with at least three students. After the students have completed the worksheet, check their work and approve it after corrections. If you then return to the desktop menu, you can already collect the 30 MB for approvals.
Complete profile (20MB)
In the top row of the screen, on the right side of your monogram, or if you have uploaded a picture of yourself, clicking on your profile picture the menu opens where you can get to edit your profile. Enter the missing data and save your changes. If you then return to the Desktop menu, you can already collect the 20 MB for completing your profile data.
Our goal is that the data provided here will help us to better customize Redmenta for all our users in the future. This way you will not only get megabytes, but it will also be easier for you to choose the relevant subjects when creating the worksheet.
Creating a creative board task type (15MB)
Try one of our newest developments with your students: the creative whiteboard task type. Come up with your own task and share it with them where they can create a montage or a drawing. If you then return to the Desktop menu, you can already collect the 15 MB for trying out the creative board.
But the storage expansion doesn't stop there! Look at the to-do list in the Desktop menu, or keep an eye on your Storage History page, because this is where the new options will appear.
The storage increase for tasks is currently only available to teachers, but it will soon be available to students as well.
